ABOUT FIDELMA
Fidelma Kelly is a classically trained soprano, who also enjoys singing jazz, traditional, and contemporary styles.
Fidelma has vast experience, ranging from singing with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and The Hothouse Big Band, to performing more regularly with solo piano or harp accompaniment.
As a soloist she was delighted to feature in the world premiere of a new work, 'Alanú' by Dublin native Damian Gallagher, performed to a packed National Concert Hall in 2015.
Apart from her solo work, Fidelma was selected to sing in the choral backing for Ennio Morricone's Dublin concerts, and for Brian Byrne's new musical, 'Angel Of Broadway'.
Fidelma has sung solo and backing vocals several times in the National Concert Hall with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra's 'Crooning at Christmas' and Dean Martin tribute concert 'That's Amore', and featured in the RTÉ CD "Christmas In Concert".
Fidelma formed, managed, and sang with the very successful three-girl group Girl-Talk. Their collaboration with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra saw them touring the show 'Supertroupers' in the National Concert Hall, the Helix and Farmleigh. They also performed the show in London, Sweden, and Denmark with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Danish Symphony Orchestra. They headlined the Cork Jazz Festival with the Hot City Orchestra, and had many television and radio appearances including the Late Late Show, 'Kenny Live', Eurosong, and the Ronan Collins and Pat Kenny Radio Shows.
Girl-Talk is continuing under their new name, The Honeydews, specialising in the Andrews Sisters-type close harmonies and pop and jazz standards in the style of the Swing / Boogie Woogie era.
Fidelma is currently updating her classical training in the DIT Conservatory Of Music under Mairéad Buicke.
